Condor 462

Hatched March, 2008 in the wild in Southern CA

Condor 462 was the biological offspring of dad 33 and mom 68, but his egg was put in a wild nest in 2008 and he was raised by foster dad 247 and foster mom 79.  He was one of 5 chicks that pair fostered over the years!

Condor 462 had nested successfully four times as of 2025.  He successfully fledged condor 926  in 2018 and condor 1048 in 2020 with his mate at the time, 594.  In 2021 condor 594 left him for condor 374, but he found a new mate, condor 846, in 2022 and they successfully fledged chick 1160, live on the Tom's Canyon nest camera.  It was condor 846's first nest and she was a great mom!

They then went on to hatch condor 1346 in 2025, but that chick died at just 5 months old.  Hopefully they will have great success in future years.
