Volunteer with Us

This is one of the simplest ways to help out our cause. We believe the best way for our work to be successful is for the community to actively get involved. Sign up for free updates below and select volunteering as an interest to get notified of opportunities to join us volunteering.  Here is a taste of some of what we do:

• Provide educational and outreach programs

• Table at events such as street fairs, nature fests, and more

• Staff a seasonal roadside condor viewing booth with a scope set up to scan the skies for wild condors

• Participate in workdays and maintenance project on the condor refuges - Bitter Creek, Hopper Mountain, and Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes

• Assist refuge biological programs

Want to join our efforts but not sure where to start? We are a volunteer group with an important mission. Donating is a great way to contribute to our cause, and every little bit counts. As an all volunteer organization, all of our funds go directly to our Education & outreach and our support of the Condor Recovery Program such as:

• Fundraising for the avian influenza response

• Supporting the California Recovery field crews

• Leading refuge tours 

• Organizing lectures

• Staffing informational booths

• Providing classroom education

• Operating a seasonal condor viewing booth

• Financing the development of virtual condor experiences

• Providing accurate, up-to-date information about threats, successes, and how people can help condors.

• Coordinating volunteers assisting with refuge projects

• Supporting field trips for students learning about condors
