About the Event
At the upper Bitter Creek NWR sign on Hudson Ranch Road (formerly Cerro Noroeste Road) between Maricopa and Pine Mountain Club. Look for the shade canopy and life sized condor banner. See directions below. Please check in advance to make sure routes are open.
Directions:
From Oxnard, Ventura & Santa Barbara-
Take US-101 to CA-33 north past Ventucopa. After Ventucopa, turn right at the T-junction to remain on CA-33. Turn right again a few miles later onto Hudson Ranch Road (formerly Cerro Noroeste Road). The booth is approximately 9 miles down Hudson Ranch Road on the left side at a Bitter Creek National Wildlife Refuge sign.
From LA-
Take US-5 N to exit 225/ CA-166 toward Taft/Maricopa. Follow CA-166 west for about 33 miles and then turn left on Hudson Ranch Rd (formerly Cerro Noroeste Road). This will be past Maricopa. Once on Hudson Ranch Road, the booth is approximately 9 miles along on the left hand side at the second Bitter Creek National Wildlife Refuge sign.

You can take US-5 N to exit 205 for Frazier Mountain Road. Turn left onto Frazier Mountain Park Road. It will become Cuddy Valley Road and then Mil Potrero Highway and finally Hudson Ranch Road. You will be on it for approximately 33 miles once you exit US-5 (and it will take you through the communities of Frazier Park & Pine Mountain Club). From this direction the booth will be on your right. If you reach CA-166 you have gone too far.
From the north-
Follow US-5 south to the exit 225/ CA-166 exit and then follow the main ‘From LA’ directions above.
From the west-
From the west, follow CA-166 east until you reach CA-33 (about 70 miles east of Santa Maria). Turn right a few miles later onto Hudson Ranch Road (formerly Cerro Noroeste Road). The booth is approximately 9 miles down Hudson Ranch Road on the left side at a Bitter Creek National Wildlife Refuge sign.
